THE FIRST VERSION, KEPT FOCUSED
Record roll, physical frame label, binder, sleeve and strip position. Keep physical labels separate from the order in which scans arrive.
Map multiple filenames and scan dates to one negative. Record which derivative came from which scan, flag duplicate version labels and mark uncertain mappings for manual review.
Print selected thumbnails with sleeve locations and version labels, plus a CSV manifest. Use local JPEG previews; the first version would not need full-resolution TIFF uploads or cloud storage.
